FastTrack FTP is an FTP client application for MS Windows based systems.
The user interface is divided in two well-differentiated regions: the Local user PC directories appear on the left side and the Remote server structure on the right side of the interface. Both include their own buttons for making a New Directory, Rename or Delete files or folders. The Local side includes an editor for seeing the file contents and a Run command for starting a local application. At the upper part of the user interface there are tabs corresponding to Local Computer and the FTP-Server including the different possible actions to execute.
The connection can be established using SSL2, SSL3, TLS, SSH2 or PGP security rules, and even using encrypted passwords. Transfers can be made in Automatic, Binary and ASCII modes. Once the connection is made, the application shows a log with all the details.
There is an included 'keep alive' function that sends special commands to the server, in order to keep it connected even in low or null activity conditions.
With the 'drag and drop' utility, transfers are very easy to perform: the user 'drags' a file or an entire folder to the other window (both ways: upload and download) and the transfer begins.
Interrupted transfers are automatically resumed from the point they were stopped.
Folder synchronization will keep all the files up to date, by transferring only the files that have been modified when a change is detected.
A built-in zip compressor and a transfer scheduler allows the user to set transfer at defined days and times, as well as to handle huge files.
One of the interesting features of this application is the capability of multisession operation. User can run another instance of the program and connect to another FTP server while a previous instance is operating with a settled connection.
The application creates logs right after transfers are completed with all the details.
